DJ Ira has been spinning vinyl since 1987, bringing decades of experience, passion, and a deep love for 80s alternative music to every performance. His journey began at Reno’s Club Underground, a popular teen nightclub where he first made a name for himself. By 1989, Ira had joined his friend Chris at the newly opened Red Square, an all-ages club that quickly became the city’s go-to nightlife destination.

In the early 90s, Ira relocated to Las Vegas, becoming the resident DJ at The Sports Pub, where he performed five nights a week, blending alternative dance with disco. He also spent time performing with a Beastie Boys tribute band while holding down simultaneous residencies at renowned venues such as Gypsy Nightclub and Moose McGillycuddy’s, each four nights weekly.

By 1998, Ira was co-headlining at RA Nightclub inside The Luxor Hotel, spinning house, disco, and high-energy dance classics. His talent and presence led to an invitation to help launch C2K, a new club inside the Venetian Hotel. After a successful year there, Ira transitioned into mobile DJing, spending the next six years entertaining wedding and corporate audiences with his signature mix of party music.

Today, DJ Ira has returned to his vinyl roots, captivating Orlando audiences with nostalgic 80s and 90s sets during his weekly residencies at Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando and Rosen Inn International. He has also opened for acclaimed tribute acts such as Lovesong (The Cure) and Strangelove (Depeche Mode), and recently performed at House of Blues Orlando.

Expanding his musical repertoire, DJ Ira has launched a Yacht Rock alias, Captain DJ Ira, under which he performs monthly vinyl sets at Celebration Brewing—bringing smooth sailing vibes and timeless classics to his growing fanbase.
