A Recipe for a Good Time My name is Ewan Dehnert, and I’ve been a professional DJ for 20 years. I’m entertaining, funny, smooth, charismatic, and FUN! If I’m not DJ’ing and providing a great time to a crowd, you can find me spending time with my wife and two children, hitting some rounds on the golf course, or listening to Elvis Presley! I started DJ’ing in 2002 after watching live bands perform. I saw the influence that the performances had on the crowd to just live in the moment, and I knew that music was for me. I didn’t sing or play any instruments, so I used artists and songs that inspired me to make my own story for the world. I’ve opened for stage shows across the United States and I have even played in the Caribbean. Anytime that I can play music for a crowd – whether it’s 5 people or 5,000 – seeing everyone have a fun time is the greatest highlight for me. I love playing for a mixed group where I can throw in any genre of music–top 40, reggae, soca/calypso, Bollywood, and more–and they never skip a beat. I love having FUN with the music that I play! DJ’ing for me, like a lot of things in life, is like a recipe. You follow the steps, add in your own flavor, give it time, and watch the deliciousness and greatness come out in the end. There’s no sweeter feeling (pun intended)! The EXPERIENCE that Mix on Wheels and Miles DJ Productions gives is like no other. The opportunities are endless, they’re family-oriented, and it never feels like a “job” or “work.” Having me as a DJ for any event will guarantee satisfaction. I take pride in my art of DJ’ing and will always give 110% in what I do. Being able to DJ the events presented to me is a huge milestone. What started off as a passion has given me a dream to come true!
